I had every intention to head to the camp this afternoon after work to make a flash hunt and hunt tomorrow. I've woken up with a terrible fever and stomach flu and in the process of loading up now to haul arse and hunt all day ahead of this blast of summer air over the weekend.

I lived in Demopolis, AL for 2 years when I was a teenager. We had a hunting club just over the line in Greene County. Lots of deer in that area (or used to be anyway).

Moved from Alexandria to Tuscaloosa about 10 years ago. Still lots of deer in Greene Co. It's been slow so far this season but with this colder weather things are picking up, seen four this morning so far.

Dam varible wind. Nice morning till the wind kept shifting. On the ride out, saw one hell of a buck running arcoss a pipeline 75' in front of me. Two jumps and that sucker was across.
Maybe make an afternoon hunt in that area.
