Red Light Ticket in New Orleans

My buddy was in New Orleans for a wedding a while back and got a red light ticket in NO at Carondelet and Poydras. Says he stopped at the red light. Picture 1 shows him at the red light and picture 2 (2 seconds later shows him entering the intersection. He lives in Houston, so obviously will not be going to the trial. Fine is $135 and it says it is not a moving violation.

Should he pay the fine or would the hardasses of the OT just throw it away?

I didn't pay the NOLA fine. They sent like 4 or 5 letters, each more threatening in its wording.

Then they stopped sending letters and haven't done shite.

What are the consequences of not paying one of these? Are there any?

Only consequence is that they'll boot his car if he drives in NOLA again.

Better hope you don't go back to Nola. If they catch your ass, they will boot your car then tow you. It happened to me and was the most miserable experience of my life in the past two years

SO based on your experience, your advice would be to pay it? The fine is $135.

I don't owe but one ticket and I'm not worried about it. Don't plan on driving to NOLA anytime soon.

Don't run red lights.

If you do, and get caught, suffer the consequences.

Pay the fine bro. Learn your lesson and stop when the light is yellow instead of trying to gun it through.

Same, I didn't come to a complete stop before making a right turn on red, and they sent me a ticket.

It got sent to my dad's house and he was freaking the frick out about me paying it. I told him I knew that you didn't have to pay those, but he was having a huge pissy fit over it. Needless to say, I paid it just to get my dad off my back.

I got a redlight ticket back in 2010 and have not paid it. I go to New Orleans every couple of months and have been at least over 20 times since the ticket.

Main reason why I didn't pay it... the camera only got pictures of the rear end and license plate of my car. Not the front or of the driver. So who are they to say that some gibroni wasn't driving my car that night?

NOTHING has happened. No boot and I park downtown.

Just if your friend goes back, tell him not to do anything that would get him pulled over. AKA speed or hotbox the vehicle.

good. BREATHE

I know I'm good. I didn't get the ticket. My buddy that I work with did.
