Update: heading home with my new sbe2. Zero buyers remorse
What's the OB's take on the Best duck gun? I'm about to go and blow a bunch of money and I want to know what the best of the best is.
I have always liked benelli and am leaning towards the SBEII. Is there anything better than that?

Kinda like the best sex position or best gumbo or favorite truck. You gonna get 50 preferences and 75 reason the guys with the preferences are dumbasses and wrong about those preferences....but good luck.

The one that still shoots after I drop it in the mud. My no frills 870 fills the bill nicely.

I was in the market for a SBEII myself, but I'm hearing good things about the A5s. I have to try one before I buy anything. Shot the Beretta a good bit, but I prefer the SBE over it.

Never thought I'd own a Mossberg, but do, and I love it. Takes a licking and keeps on firing. Had a few issues with it, but minor. I would think a 870 would be about the same.

I've shot the SBEII, browning Gold, and an older beretta. These are MY top 3. Now with that said, is there anything that I'm totally missing?
I own a mossburg pump (it's ok) and I've never really had anything good come from Remington.

Beretta here. I have an older AL390 that has never missed a beat. Although I don't care for the rotating bolt head on some of the newer models.

If you want a semi auto - stick to the 3 B's, from there just pick all three of them up and see which one you can shoulder the best...I promise you there aint much difference between them, and if someone tells you that one is better than the other, there is a good chance that they have that brand and only that brand, so take the opinion with a grain of salt. I walked into the store to buy a Beretta, but picked up a browning maxus and it just fit me better, so I am glad I got it, but the next guy might shoulder a SBEII better and that would be the right choice for him
I would at least pick up a A5 and see how it feels, I love my old humpback

Hands down Beretta SV10, best money can buy...
I don't own one however I have a SBE2 and a Super Vinci and I prefer the Super Vinci, but any of the 3 Bs will do.
