A lot of instructional CDs and DVDs out there. My dad taught me, but I've gotten even better than he by listening and watching videos. I'm the guy you see blowing a duck call when driving

I can't take a shite in the woods these days without falling back on top of the pile.

Yeah after the first couple years of college I kind of got out of duck hunting and have not really gotten back into it. I guess if i did I would spend more time working on calls...

I get lost in the woods like it's nobody's business. I have to take flagging or my GPS or I will be there for a long time.

I am a terrible pistol shot. I need to practice more I guess. I also suck at backing a trailer using the mirrors. I have to look out the back glass.

Can't keep a rifle steady if I had a lead sled in the stand with me. Shoulder starts doing circles.

Been duck hunting since I was crappin my pants, but can't call for shite. Always have had pow pow there to bring them in. One quack is my max, but they still keep telling me "im not blowing out the candle".

Put them in a bucket of water and let them soak for a few minutes then the hair should stick together.

If I have time to sit and watch a duck coming from a long distance, there is a very good chance I'm going to miss it. I do much better with quick shots than those that I get to think about.

I have a trouble tracking a deer now. I guess old age is creeping in. Sucks for bow hunting.

Go fishing with a baitcaster without spending 20 minutes undoing bird nests.

But truthfully, I am the same way with snakes. Hell, I can't even look at them without squealing like a little girl.

From the earlier thread,

Duck - No idea when to shoot. Most often, I wait too long thinking next time would be better. Pretty sure my version of calling is an alarm.

Deer - Identifying buck travel vs doe and night vs day. I hunt public land, so I am not going to try cameras. I'll also chance a bad wind when I know better.

Dove - I just never practice wing shooting. It's almost like a first time every opening day. I miss way too many first shots.

Squirrel - None. They use my name in scary campfire stories. In squirrel, my name translates to roughly, death from below.

Bass - I avoid the bank at times when I should not. I refuse to use crankbaits unless someone else starts the pattern. I've never learned to use a graph.

White perch - I have no idea how to find them if it's not the spawn. I lucked up on a mess of them this year, but that was a first. If I had to catch one today or die, you'd never see another post from me.

That's one of the reason I love this board, you always learn new things..
I had no idea "butthead" translated to death from below...
