Every time West Monroe has played Texas teams they've won/lost depending on the rules. When played by NCAA rules they've lost. When played by Federation rules, they've won.
I may be wrong, but I think Texas is playing Federation rules now. I say that because I was watching a Teas semi-final game the other night and a guy catches a kickoff with a foot in the end zone and they blew it dead a touchback. That's one of the big rules differences between what I remember of the UIL when it used NCAA rules and Louisiana using Federation rules. In Texas, kids could run the ball out of the endzone.
I could be wrong. It might just be a modification of an NCAA rule.

The big difference was cut blocks.

The only way to be crowned is to go out and schedule out of state games. Curtis has done that in the past as well as this season. They can't help it if Plant lost. They were the 6A champs when put on the schedule. I think Katy overtakes them with a big win tomorrow though.

I'll have to watch some games today ad watch the blocking. Didn't pay close attention, just noticed the kickoff thing.
Also didn't notice where they were kicking off from.
I'll watch more closely today.
