he can take Brees with him. It's clear they need one another to be successful. No excuse for him to be playing like this after inking the largest contract in NFL history. Yeah, I know the D blows, and the ST sucked today, and receivers dropped the ball, but he usually bails us out. He just doesn't look right this year. It wouldn't surprise me if he were injured and we just don't know it.

Yeesh, this game sucked. And to make it worse, I had to work today. I didn't listen to the radio. Didn't look at one text. Didn't look on here.

Game was DVR'd, and I watched it. What a waste of time. This season has been unjust, unfair, and a waste of time and emotion. Can't wait for it to be over.

Hope everyone's Sunday was pleasant

Brees has done nothing this year to suggest that he can be what we have known him to become as a Saints QB without Sean Payton.

He was only average in San Diego and he is only average right now.

Look, i respect the fact you have 9,000 post, but that is simply false. Drew feels he has to carry this team. He is pressing bc our defense and special teams is a shitbag. We have had. Bad year period. Next yr i expect us to come out and beat some arse. Put an asterik next to 2012 and move on

Look, I'm not about to agree with Zombie here, but some of you are being idiotic.

You're blaming the way Brees is playing on the defense?
Please.
There are better ways to knight for the guy than that old cliche.

The defense is MILES ahead of the offense right now.

I agree, if 2 out of 3 phases of football suck we should get rid of drew and go for the trifecta.

With 5 wins this year we can probably get a pick high enough to draft Geno Smith or Landry Jones.

Right now yes I agree but that's a small sample size and looking at the season as whole Drew/the offense has had better season.

//defense not why Drew had bad game today though.

Totally agree, and it saddens me that it's come to that.

and ignore the past two games as well in the process. Brees hasn't been average for the past three weeks, he's been terrible.

I agree. In a 16 game season, we should completely ignore the first 10 games of the season and focus on the smaller sample size of these last 3 weeks.

He hasn't been that great either. And now he's tied for the lead in interceptions.

I'll be happy when Paytom comes back and get's him back on track. I just thought Brees would be better without Payton at the helm.
