And at the end of the day they're in the Cotton Bowl with a Heisman winning QB and we're playing in Atlanta on New Year's Eve!

nice but i noticed something. they were supposed to have a bye the week before us. they had la tech which was a re-sched. that changes a lot since they probably realized they might have been ill-prepared for one of the best offense in the country. tech soaked up much of what time they needed to better prepare for us. just saying!

Look, obviously it's impressive. We all know how huge this defense has been for us for years now; and how outside of Bama, Manziel didn't do much against the meat of his schedule. I just don't see the sense in trying to downgrade another team's accomplishments. We were better than them this year and we're a better program than them, why the need to come of as insecure by reiterating it? We proved it to the nation on the field.

Precisely. So whining about who goes to what bowl is pretty pointless and wasted energy.

We were the only, the only, team to contain that guy. Focus on that if you want to focus on something.

We'll see how he does next season. I'm guessing this will go to his head, plus they lose their two stellar OTs. We'll see.

Not trying to a jerk, just trying to put it in some perspective, that's all.

Oh you're not a jerk at all, I guess I just hope most people realize this only happened because the group of candidates were extremely weak. The only other recent years that Manziel would be a candidate that come to mind are the Ingram, Troy Smith, and Crouch seasons. I just don't see the prudence in beating our chests about the issue but at the same time I guess thats the point of message boards. Moral of the story is I'm probably in the wrong haha.

haha, no worries, man. The next season can't get here fast enough.

Looking forward to watching all the bowl games.

The main thing I get from reading the stats is that he threw a ridiculous amount of passes...56 was 16 more than he threw in any other game. Like many QB's, if you take away his running game and make him throw a ton of passes, you will have success.

Hand it to the kid though...he threw 3 INT's vs. LSU then threw only 2 the rest of the year.

If we're going to be fair about the stats, one of his ints was a gift. His receiver had the ball bounce off of his chest and into Minter's hands.

LSU Defense was big and bad - no doubt brah
Looking forward to next year when our D will be better too... Maybe JFF will get a few more chances to get it done next year?

If we're going to be fair, most ints are on bad QB decisions or tipped balls(tip drills are something DBs and WRs practice all the time). Which is more of a gift, getting a ball thrown straight to you or catching a tipped ball?

The guy threw 3ints had no touchdowns but preceded to score five times the very next week with no turnovers.
