Why the need to downplay any good thing LSU related?
No need to dwell on gumps/Saban when a totally different subject is under discussion.
If you're truly a fan, at least think positive about LSU accomplishments.

We all know how huge this defense has been for us for years now; and how outside of Bama, Manziel didn't do much against the meat of his schedule.

We did do a great job against him in the 2nd half, but thank GOD they were called for a chop block and had that other first half TD called back or it was probably ball game in the first half if they would have went up 16-0. He was carving us up like a Thanksgiving turkey in the 1st half (like he did to Bama), but we made great adjustments and had a miracle turn of events in the last couple of minutes of the 1st half.

He completed 77% of his passes against Florida in his first game ever and ran for another 60 with a TD. For comparison, LSU ran for 42 as a team and scored 6 points against them. He drilled Bama.

Records:

Most yards total offense, game (576, breaking Archie Manning's 1969 record of 540 yards, and his own record of 557 set two weeks earlier)

Most yards total offense, season (4,600, breaking Cam Newton's 2010 record in two fewer games)

Most yards total offense, game average (383.3, breaking Tim Couch's 1998 record, of 377.4 yards)

Highest yards per play average (50 plays minimum), game (10.71, against Arkansas on September 29, 2012, breaking Steve Tanneyhill's record of 10.0 yards)

First SEC quarterback to pass for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in one season

And at the end of the day they're in the Cotton Bowl with a Heisman winning QB and we're playing in Atlanta on New Year's Eve!

Jesus Christ.

Can you not be happy that we were THE only team to shut the Heisman winning QB down and beat them in their own house? We are both going to meaningless bowl games. Who gives a shite?

LSU Defense was big and bad - no doubt brah
Looking forward to next year when our D will be better too... Maybe JFF will get a few more chances to get it done next year?

Gig'em and BTHO Clemson!

So you are saying you will be good next season because you are bringing in a full freshman class?
Do you have a legit center for next year? Because Freak and Bennie will be back, we will be just as fast side line to side line and our secondary will be better, so..

We beat them in the Cotton anyway, who cares we own Dallas. I just wanted to beat Texas there for revenge.

Better hope he does with that many true freshmen to be signed with an average commit rating no higher than A&M's is right now.

For Aggies' sake, better hope RSJ treats A&M better than his cousin did. This time, don't give him the car and cash until AFTER he signs his letter of intent.

Huh? We beat them on the field. Like in real life. Moral victory? We owned A&M in every way this year when encountered. I don't think you know the appropriate use of that phrase.
