Anyone made it them selves? How about growing your own grapes here in Louisiana? Im thinking about taking on this project. Any of you all have any suggestions or tips please share.

Too wet for wine grapes in LA. Too much mold in ground.

Sad but true.

Google Landry Vineyards and schedule a visit in Ouachita Parish. I'd expect they can share some good advice with you.

I have a couple muscadine vines I planted this past summer. I'll get back to you in a couple years. Other than that, the only wine I have made has been from kits, which aren't bad.

It's not the wetness it's more the heat. Muscadine is about the only grape that can tolerate it and unfortunately it's a pretty bad tasting wine.
