Yes, I've already introduced myself in the O-T Lounge, lol. I've been a lurker on the Rant for about a year and a half but just "discovered" the hidden treasure that is the Movie/TV Board in the past few weeks, and it is one of the main factors that compelled me to sign up here. I've thoroughly enjoyed your discussions here, particularly the play-by-play threads on The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, and Sons of Anarchy. I'm also a big fan of The League, Justified, Nikita, Arrow, Wilfred, Magic City, and particularly Archer. I mourn the loss of cable classics like Deadwood, Weeds, the Tudors, and Entourage. I'm also a major movie buff, especially all things Tarantino.
Not to sound whiny, but I had to retire from dentistry at age 44 due to failed neck surgery and back problems. Since my physical ailments eliminated all my other hobbies like motocross, road racing, and fishing, I sit on my arse all day long and watch a LOT of tv and movies. With that being the only thing that passes the time, I invested in a Sharp 80" with a Bose surround sound bar, so watching the tube has been elevated to a near religious experience. What makes it even more enjoyable is that my 13 year old son and I love all the same shows, so we spend a lot of time together.
I know, I know...TL;DR. But you guys have carved out a terrific niche for yourselves on TigerDroppings, and I'll be spending a lot of time on here, so I just wanted to drop in and say hello.

Just kidding. Be careful, though. The Movie/TV board can become addictive. Don't forget to post pics when you are discussing hot chicks!

I guess I haven't lurked long enough to understand why every new poster has to be an alter. As far as the OT intro, I guess some people understand sarcasm better than others. As far as this intro, the M/TV posters appear to be a slightly different breed that the OT'ers. I didn't see a problem with dropping in to say I appreciate what you guys have going here.

The TV talk is great. The movie talk is abysmal

I used to love reading how much everyone hated Lori and what a terrible mother she was... gonna miss those

That's really cool that u and ur son watch stuff together, although i'd feel awkward watching Horror Story with my dad

eta- and I see you don't have Game of Thrones on your list.. u should definitely check it out if u haven't

Welcome

I'm awesome and hilarious. Just remember that and constantly remind me of that and tell me that often and you'll be good.

Sorry about the health problems. Being 26 and having a lot myself I can relate. One of the worst things in the world is not being able to do the things you want to do because of physical ailments.

Edit: One more thing/word of advice... Don't refer to yourself as a movie buff. That's an earned title, not self given. Like a nickname, I don't just call myself Voltron, I earned it, because my friends know I'm super badass.

Already a big fan of Game of Thrones, just forgot to mention it. I bought the books as well but just didn't get around to reading them yet. I'm also an avid reader, and I only read "real" books - just can't get into that whole Kindle thing.

And exactly what kind of "proof of life" is necessary around here to convince people you're not an alter?
