Who? Regardless of whether we won that game, who on the team do you think is worthy of 1st Team AA? Given that it's a fact and all ...

I think Minter replaces Mosley at Lb. I believe Reid is on it. Possibly Wing. If we're in the NC game it wouldn't surprise me if a d linemen made one of the AA teams- though probably not first team.

Reid is a First Team AA on the AFCA team.

I have been saying this, we just aren't very talented this year.

This is just stupid, either pro miles or anti miles we all agree recruiting he is good at, so how can we not be very talented?

Maybe Les did a hell of a job coaching this year.

No maybe---he did.

The last two years with the QB play and this year with the injuries.

A hell of a coaching job.

Thats why Michigan and Arkansas tried to get Miles.

toolame eh? I see that originality is not your strong suit.

But I'm thinking that Tulane will probably have a 1st team All American for 2012. After all, Cairo Santos just won the Lou Groza award as the best college place kicker for this year.

Also, it I'm not mistaken, the AP A-A team hasn't yet come out so there is still hope. But then again, If I remember y'all are not too fond of the AP.

I agree. Stat-wise many guys were underwhelming. Minter had a good year, but with only three LB spots to give you knew Te'o was gonna get one, and then Jarvis/Mosley got the other two. If you can take anything out of this season it's that for years to come you're gonna have a LOT of First Team AAs. The Jalen duo, Bull-Dozer, and Freak just to name a few.

Minter is the only legit candidate this year. Reid played like crap in too many games.

Curse of being talented at all positions. Noone stands out.

Blessing of being talented at all positions. Almost all of them have a legit shot at making the NFL.

There shouldn't have been. TM7 didn't play well, lol. Faulk out. Blue was a really long shot, as was Hill, but injury and split time anyway. Reid didn't play great, Minter wasn't popular enough pre-season. Sam and Keke underperformed. And fricking Brad Wing had a down year.

2 losses and too many close games against weaker teams left voters with the impression that his is an average LSU team.

Anyone surprised?
Not totally. We have talent on this team, yes. But this year, and based entirely on the numbers of injuries, penalties, and drop-off in play execution, which translated into what looked like unnecessary struggle games and 2 losses, my impression of this year's LSU team is one of two (or both) possibilities:
1. They were under-coached.
2. They underachieved.

As weptiger said along this same thread so very well:

No, name one position where we had the best player in the nation at that position? Lot of good players, but no all-american 1st teamers IMO
