I have two places to deer hunt, public land and a very small spot of family land. Went hunting on public land and saw more bear than deer, got bear pictures on family land and haven't had a deer pic since. Bear were introduced here with only 2 predators , vehicles and dummies who shoot them. If they get delisted and hunters are allowed to hunt them, it will probably be 5+ years more before that happens and they will continue to take over. I don't advocate illegally shooting them, but I don't shed a tear when one dies.

I've hunted deer and bears up north and saw both from the same stand. Why should it be any different down here?

But I've been to those LWC meetings and the rep from NELA probably put it best, "everybody wants bears until they have bears".

That quote says it all. It's cool to see one in the woods, but when you see very few deer to start with, and then bear show up and you see zero deer, the coolness factor is gone.

I'm all about shooting anything that's legal. If they are de listed I say have at it. Whack and stack the bears.

I'm talking about shooting animals that are considered endangered species.

No shite.

Know quite a few people that entire marsh leases were shut down for hunting ducks over bait. Shooting endangered animals is worse imo.

They are all over Davis Island. Saw deer every day I was there. At one point, I had 6 deer under the same tree.

Remember that part where I said I hunted on Davis island where I see plenty of deer already and we've had bears around for awhile? Yeah, I don't recall that either. I'm glad you see deer and bear. I hope all the bears migrate to Davis island and you continue seeing them.

If y'all don't possess simple reading comprehension skills , turn the computer off. I have nocturnal deer that already roam around. Bear just introduced themselves to the picture and deer seem to be gone. I'm sure they coexist in plenty of places, but they ain't doing it for me right now. If a deer can go somewhere a bear isn't, do you think he won't.

Maybe if you didn't only hunt over bait piles, you'd find where the deer went?

I believe the term for that is trespassing. Guess I should mention I hunt with dogs in a fenced area as well.

Seems to be a lot of jackasses on the outdoor board.

I cant seem to kill a freaking deer to save my life this year anyway so I would be happy to see a bear.
