Before anyone asks why I care about a 6th grade team, my boy plays for them. They had a great season and I wanted to brag on them a little bit. And who knows, they probably have one or two future D1 players on the team, maybe a future Tiger or two.
Here are a few tidbits on their season:
They went 6-0 in a very dominant fashion.
Defeated rival West Ridge Patriots 34-0
Had four shutouts
The first team defense only gave up one touchdown
The first team defense went 18 straight quarters without giving up a first down
The second team defense gave up only three touchdowns
Offense scored 4 of six times on first play from the LOS
Pretty dominant season. Future could be bright. Thanks for indulging me.

I would like to see PBS 6th grade team vs Good Hope or West Ridge. There has to be some better competition than what we have down in Baton Rouge in middle school.

Anyone who lets their son play football after seeing all the longterm effects on brain injuries is a terrible parent.

WR is a good team. My son played with several of those guys in WOYSA. The running back is very good. He would have made a difference but the GH D really came together and I still don't think it would have been close. The first string D did not even allow a first down against Richwood in the finale.
Bottom line is with the WR 8th graders down through these teams along with Riser and the future for WM football could be real good.

those kids don't hit nearly hard enough to cause damage. High School is possible, but pee wee no way
