wow ..... I pretty much didn't know a thing about it... when that fricking snake snapped his arm, I knew it was on then...anybody else watch it without even watching a preview and not knowing anything ? I loved it and I'm usually pretty harsh on scifi...

I thought it was pretty sweet, not sure why it seemed to get so much hate in here. I know it's supposed to be a prequel to Alien, but I wouldn't mind getting to see them a little sooner.

Yeah me too. I wish they would have something with a little more closure than that. I hate when movies do that. T least show me something or where they're headed dammit

I loved it and I knew nothing about it. I have never even seen the aliens movies. the only thing I still don't like is the opening scene not being explicitly explain.

There were several old threads about it with some good info if you search. Also some blogs with great explanations of stuff that in no way could I have ever come up with myself.

Great flick...I need to see it again.

the general consensus is that the movie made it really difficult to connect the dots between it and alien, so watching the movie without trying to connect the dots the whole time probably made it a lot more enjoyable

Great movie, I enjoyed it more the second time. I don't like being spoonfed answers.

Felt it was pretty easy to connect the dots

Alien took place on a different planet which most probably underwent a similar problem.

Yeah I wasn't trying to do that at all. I actually have never seen any of the other movies from start to finish. Do they make any mention of those beings from this movie in those? It's seem like they would pretty important going forward considering where the first Alien popped up from

Those dots yes, but not why they made us, why they wanted to kill us, why make the goo, why aliens, where are they from, what are David's motivations, etc. I'm glad they weren't answered in one movie.

Not really. It's pretty self explanatory if you pay attention.

This video helps explain shite: LINK

that's one of my favorite parts. the engineer/space jockey was only shown in one short scene and no explanation was given. at the time, viewers had no idea that that petrified elephant skeleton looking thing would be one of our creators.

Trailer was great. Film sucked.

I've got the original script. Title was Alien: Engineers.

why do you think the film sucked? I thought it was quite well done... how would you have made it better ?
