I think we can blame Northern Illinois for this one

I have no doubt had Oklahoma been in the BCS, that Texas would have been in the Cotton. And had that happened, no way in hell would A&M and UT played that bowl game, all the power brokers in Texas would have made sure of that. LSU-UT would be a big draw and the Cotton Bowl would have been all over that.
So thanks to the dumbass auto qualifier rule for shitty conferences, we wind up in Atlanta.

Are they officially in the Top-16?

There are some bad BCS matchups. No attendance. No ratings outside of Fiesta and championship game.

Barring a major power move from the BCS, yes

Shame on Northern Illinois for getting rewarded by the system.

Yeah, NIU-FSU in the Orange, Florida-Louisville in the Sugar.

Really. Your take is this is NIU's fault for getting in their Conf champ game, winning it beating a top 20 team and the systems fault?
But no responsibility on us? The inability to get a first down v UF, allowing them to wear us down by running something like 25 running plays in a row or letting the Bama game slip away with bonehead play calls and inability to play adequate 2min drill D at end of game or half?

Looks like Sugar and Orange will be shitty.

I blame us. Really bad D on Bama's last drive, and scoring less than ULL vs. Florida.

If you want to blame anyone, blame the BCS system. It is a total joke that a team like NIU who lost to Iowa with all of their 4 wins this year, gets to play in a BCS game.

I watched that flag football game the other night..what a joke..empty stadium..
Blew double digit lead with but a few mniutes left in regulation, then de-evolved into a pee-wee league matador D OT marathon..they scored a bazillion.
Both teams should've been credited with an L..the agony of each HC's eyes down the stretch watching the futility.
