Ok Hog fans...Why not Charlie Strong?

I know we all have our wish list but why not Strong?
Arkansas guy (recruiting connections)
Excellent defensive mind.
His players play extremely hard for him.
Last night his team won on guts with 1 walk on QB and 1 that has a bum ankle and a broken wrist.
That was impressive to me. Oh, and it was on the road too with a BCS berth on the line.
.....and against a team WE lost to at home this year as well.
I'd like to hear the Pros and Cons...

Strong would be a good hire for any of the current SEC job openings.

Strong has been very loyal to Louisville, thus far. Some teams tried to go after him last year and either he or his AD completely rebuffed them.
No matter what, Louisville would try to match any offer made. Might have to offer him something they simply can't match.
That being said, Tennessee would be STUPID not to go after him. He's perfect for their job and would be a home run for the Arkansas job with the exception of the fact that he hasn't recruited Texas.

good point about the Texas recruiting... but he could take care of that with his staff. Plus he has recruited Florida and that could be a big recruiting boost for UofA.

Strong would have been my first choice if Miles left LSU. That would be a great hire for the Hogs.

East Tennessee is not the deep South. There's a reason that the University had the first African-American quarterback in conference history.

Being a black guy doesn't help much but he has a white wife. That's still a big deal for some people and supposedly it was what kept him from getting jobs before Louisville

Because he's a black man with a white wife? They don't care more about wins than skin color? If that's true, then they should just shut the damn athletic department down, because that's pathetic.
