First post on the OB, sorry if an introduction is customary. Been shooting multi Gun for a while now. Anyone else interested in the sport?

3 gun competition means you cover the 3 main types of firearms - handguns, rifles, shotguns. In 3 gun competitions, you'll go from stage-to-stage changing the type of weapon along the way. It is difficult to change your fundamentals between each weapon on the move and can be extremely challenging.

Oooohhhhh!!!
I like the sound of this. I would love the rifle and pistol rounds.
Too little experience with shotgun.
Do they have these events in Baton Rouge?

Your answers may be here but I've never done any 3-gun so I'm not positive.

Once I'm out of college and have some money to show for it, this will most likely be a new obsession of mine, along with other expensive things.

My brother does this for a living basically. Ex Seal. Ex head of the NRA tactical rifle initiative. Created a whole new version of the game, but it's strictly tac rifle. Now he's working for the company that makes the electronic targets for that.

Honestly, I like his version better than three gun. But three gun is entrenched and probably not going anywhere because it's fun as hell.

Be careful with that hunger for expensive things on an engineer's salary. Unless you're single and have no other bills...you won't be living large for a while.

Hell I've been out of school since 1996...and just now started collecting my list of items!

This is the absolute polar opposite of what everyone has been telling me. And most of the job offers classmates have had are between 60k-70k starting pay. That's a pretty good salary if you ask me.

You may have some money, but you won't have the time.

For starting pay, it sure seems sufficient.

Def is man and congrats to you on a great degree youve worked hard for. It was great for me when I got out and it will be for you too. It wasnt meant to be a cocky post about my income or anything. It just goes so damn fast with a family.
