Late 5th-Early 6th.
Medicore coverage skills, less than desirable height, and bad drug history. Character concerns will make him fall. However, its a really weak draft this year so he may get lucky and go in the 4th. Hes a good tackler, has undeniable ball skills and is a fantastic returner. His history will tell the story for his draft stock.

How he grades in the combines will make or break this kid. I don't see him going prior to the fourth round in any case.
He, possibly, cost himself millions but I believe he does have a future as a pro.

No, but a flunked pretty much removes all doubt.

someone will fall in love with him and think he can be changed
late 2nd early 3rd, team with lots of picks

For whomever asked, if he gets an invite to the combine he will be force to take a drug test while there. Other than that teams can not force him to take a test pre draft. He could volunteer to do it if he thinks it will prove to teams he is clean. Probably not a bad idea for him to take tests every two weeks or so and send results to teams to show he has gotten clean if he wants to increase his draft stock.

More like what NFL team gives a shite if he can play. Calvin Johnson told the team officials in his sit-down during the combine that he smoked weed throughout college. Plenty of players have hinted at smoking while in the NFL. Most teams' unspoken policy is keep it quiet and don't let it show on the field.
eta: anywhere from 3rd to 5th, to think a player with his possible upside goes undrafted is a joke.

will be very interesting to see HOW MANY teams come watch his workouts?
I imagine he will go in the 4th round unless his private workouts / combine numbers are special.
Someone is bound to throw a 4th round pick at the honey badger. Anyone thinking he'll be available in the 5th is playing 'draft chicken.'

I disagree on his cover skills. I think he has above average cover skills but his height really hurts him. Look at the bcsng last year. He was all over the reciever but the calls were perfectly thrown. I still say 3rd round. You can't teach his football instinct. And I think he will be a big time playmaker for many years. Jmo

comeback to me when he signs a contract. "ruined his life" is a little over dramatic.

i wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't drafted and was an invited free agent....

4th - He's small, weak in coverage and a bit of a frickup, but someone will take a chance on him for his play making ability. Mathieu has things that NFL coaches can't even teach that are attractive.
