So I have been reading this board for quite a few years, but never bothered posting anything here before. Honestly, I thought conversations with some of you may be bad for my health, so I had to abstain.
However, with the meltdown that occurred earlier today, I felt obliged for the first time to share one, single thought. That is, I am genuinely happy that Les Miles' new contract is causing such severe emotional torment to so many of you. Perhaps that makes me a terrible person to relish in your grief, but I don't really care right now. With such immense, misused hatred towards an obvious top 5 coach in CFB, seeing your miserable meltdown has truly brightened my day, even more so than knowing that we have locked up a premier coach in the country for a little longer.
I don't intend for this to change anyone's mind about our Coach, and I doubt I ever even post here again. But I just wanted to inform all of you poor, miserable people, who can't find happiness in anything, that at the very least, your reactions today have caused this individual a great deal of happiness. Thank you, for through your own grief, you have brought a little extra happiness into the world. Have a great day.

Ahhh I too enjoy seeing all the Miles bashers having a meltdown. I'm glad coach Miles is staying, I'm glad he got raise, and better yet, an extension on his contract! 7 more years!!!

I work offshore and there are about 15 guys out here that hate Miles. Im the only one on the platform that doesnt want him to go anywhere because im not a fricking simpleton. They were busting my balls all day saying "Kiss your boy bye" "hes gone" "finally" etc. They were all happy and so sure he was leaving because they "saw it on espn". I kept telling them that he wasnt going anywhere and that there most likely was never even an offer made. That the only thing coming out of this was a raise and extension for Lester. They just new I was wrong because they saw it on tv. When LSU confirmed the raise and extention, I just copied the link and emailed it to all of them.
Not one of them said a fricking word to me about it at dinner tonight. I share your delight.
Stick around. Anybody that comes out, guns blazing like that will be an asset here.
