| Whiskey/Bourbon for gift - suggestions (Posted on 11/27/12 at 4:13 pm)
Father in law's birthday is coming up, and the man enjoys a good whiskey. Recently gotten into Irish whiskeys which I dont' know much about. Willing to spend up to $100 a bottle for him. Any suggestions? Was leaning toward maybe this Four Roses

personally, I would rather 2 half gallons of Crown instead of 1 expensive 5th of whiskey.

I guess I should have stated that he generally gets around 6 or more liters of Dickel 12 yr this time of year as well. It is is favorite go to...but he is starting to get into more sippin whiskeys, so would like to get him something nice. Last one I got him was the Willett Pot reserve, and he really likes it.

Well, you probably aren't going to be much use for a thread like this then.
