you guys in the NO Bowl made it so much better of an experience. I didn't go to the game, just hung out in the quarter, but I had been twice before and it was lame. NO Bowl should just have a La team every time

There isn't hate between Tech ULM!!! This is stupid. We don't play ULM so why would Tech care? I for one am glad they've had a decent year. Now, I can see old school alum that despise the old Northeast cause they used to be rivals back In the day w/ Northwestern St.

It goes back to the 80's when La Tech would get the crap kicked out of them by NLU on a yearly basis in both Men's Basketball and Football.
Fortunately, they did have a solid women's BB program that let them get at least a couple of wins over NLU.
The thing is, La Tech has always had "little brother" syndrome with LSU and they felt NLU was encroaching that territory. Too bad they couldn't understand that NLU could care less about competing with LSU on anything other than academics and water skiing. Their focus was on beating LA Tech on EVERYTHING - and during the 80's, they pretty much succeeded until LA Tech cut ties and wouldn't schedule NLU anymore.
I guess they figured it is safer to ridicule from afar instead of battle head-to-head.
Not sure why ULL hates ULM so much... other than, in that area, they pretty much hate everybody.

Only one of those schools prominently features male students who shave their arms. I'll let you guess which one.
