For whatever reason, the Saints can't seem to get it together in the games most important quarter...the 4th.

While they are scoring a healthy 28 points per game, they are scoring only an average of 5.6 points per game in the 4th quarter. (Last season they were scoring over 10 points per game in the 4th quarter)

In today's game, they put the scorekeeper to sleep.

And Drew, for whatever reason, is playing his worst football this season in the 4th quarter.

He ranks 26th in the leagues with a 4th quarter QB rating of only 74.4.

And this is where coach Payton is missed the most. The team simply doesn't have that killer instinct or drive in the games' final quarter as they have in seasons past under SP.

They do have the very annoying habit of becoming conservative too early, IMO.

Also, I couldn't care less if the points come in the 4th quarter or the 1st, as long as there are more on the board than the opponent when the clock goes 0:00.

Yes, Payton's presence is definitely missed.

Also, with a thread title like that is it any wonder you are widely considered a useless troll on this board?

2 words answer everything in your post:

Sean Payton

I'm glad you acknowledged that.

we suck so bad in the 4th quarter that 4 out of our 5 wins have been legit 4th quarters

Or offense has admittedly been slacking in the fourth. We tend to lose all balance in the second half, we either become run heavy and abandon the passing game or we become pass heavy and abandon the running game. It is very reminiscent of Payton's first couple years coaching. It took him a few years to hone his skills as an OC. Petey is struggling to do the same.

Atlanta, San Diego, and Tampa Bay lost those games in the forth quarter more than we won them.

I think it falls more on Vitt than the OC.

Now please don't take that as me hating Vitt or anything like that Breesus. I just feel Vitt hasn't done a good enough job making in game adjustments, hence the 4th quarter slides.

But again Breesus, I realize that I may have been a little too harsh on Vitt, but I don't hate you, your family, nor do I want you to go to hell and burn forever. So PLEASE don't take it personal.

I don't think it has much to do with our interim HC/ LB coach.

It's a offensive adjustment playcalling thing. And that is more of a absent Sean Payton thing than a present Joe vitt thing.

I'm not gonna end this post with incoherent babble. Your shtick is pretty tired dude

This loss falls more on Kromer & Carmichael for not adjusting accordingly in the 2nd half to the blitzes & D-Line stunts by the 49ers. That is not Vitt's specialty.

It's the HCs job to make sure any and all necessary adjustments are made, and he's not doing a very good job of it. I like Vitt but he's dropping the ball with the team's in game adjustments

Ok, whatever you say. Why even have Kromer & Carmicheal on the staff then? Vitt can handle & oversee that aspect of the team without them. Somebody needs to let Benson know this so he can save a few bucks by getting rid of Kromer & Carmichael & just let Vitt do both of their jobs.

If you think an interim head coach who is a LB coach by trade can direct an offensive line & an OC on blitz & stunt pick ups then you are truly as retarted as your post concerning Sean Payton.
