With Boise St. not being mentioned for conference realignment, where does Chris Peterson end up coaching? Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, or USC when Kiffin gets canned?

I don't know what he's waiting for. If he wanted to leave, he's only had about 137 chances. And that's 137 chances since about 1:00 this afternoon.

It would behoove him to wait until Kiffin is gone. He'd be great in the PAC-12

A year too late. By then he will be head hog. I bet Houston Nutt would do great at Texas.

CBS reporter Bruce Feldman believes the only jobs that would attract Petersen are Oregon and Cal. Earlier this week, Cal athletic director Sandy Barbour spelled out what she is looking for in the next head coach in Berkely.

I seriously doubt Petersen would leave the west.

Petersen is a product of the University of California (Davis branch) and Berkeley is close to his Yuba City roots. The new facilities are in place, and the pressure would be far less than at Oregon or USC, or in the SEC.

Chris, it's time to come home!

Sources say Hue Jackson, Chris Petersen, up to 5 others will be interviewed by Sandy Barbour this week. #Cal rep gave a no comment.

This. Hasnt he said there are two jobs that he would look at. Oregon and Cal (for whatever reason). One is available and the other may be.

They don't need to be.
Hell they are going to end up screwing the Big East over and staying out in the MWC because under the new playoff system the MWC is on the same footing as the Big East.
I suppose they would jump ship to the Texas 10 if it decided to move back to 12 teams, but other than that Boise is now in position to WALK to a big bowl game every year.

I thought the reason he has stuck around Boise for as long as he has is because his infant son has/had cancer and Boise St has done everything possible to help, medically.

That's part of the reason why NWA would be so attractive to a guy from Boise, ID. Lifestyle similar and he'll be a 20 min plane flight to the best Childrens' Cancer Center in the world in Memphis and one of the best Children's Hospitals in the US in Little Rock.

The rumor is that Chip has a guarantee with the Oregon AD that if he leaves, their OC Mark Helfrich will be promoted to head coach.
