Most of the people on here bitching don't go to bowl games, they sit and watch them on TV.

As far as venues for a bowl game, the Georgia Dome is a good one. The hotels, bars, restaurants, etc. are all close to the stadium and there are much worse places to spend new years eve.

For You guys screaming capital one, it is probably the worst venue for people who actually go to the games. The stadium is run down and in the middle of nowhere in a rough part of town and miles from the hotel. Another problem is that the Cap One and Outback game are early morning games and the chicken bowl is preferably at night.

I would prefer the Sugar or Cotton, but as far as the fans who actually go to the games, many would prefer Atlanta to Tampa or Orlando.

There was a time when LSU fans were happy to make the Chic Fil A or Independence for that matter. So settle down and enjoy the tigers.

- That close to the SECCG to play for the NCG
- Almost a BCS bowl...
- Capital One? Nope
- Cotton surely... nope
- Outback maybe? nope

The tumble is the problem!

New years eve against a garbage acc team is terrible.

Point if reference. The worst LSU team in ages went there in 2008.

So it's kinda disappointing.

This is true so why do you then attempt to argue in favor of the Chicken Bowl based on the superiority of the venue? Which is bogus anyway because the Ga. Dome is a dump.

I'd rather not play Clemson with the way our defense has been performing. Atlanta itself isn't a bad bowl destination, it's just that we had such high hopes before the season began, and we tumble all the way to a 3rd tier bowl game.

I thought LSU fans loved the Georgia Dome?? Remember they used to call it LSU's home away from home.

I'm getting so darned sick of these kinds of statements. Is LSU supposed to be satisfied with the Chic-fil-A bowl? If so, then don't ever expect to win a NC again. Achieving excellence means believing you can, giving everything you have to achieve it, and being disappointed with anything less.

You would be wrong... I've been to 12 out of the last 15 bowl games and all the SEC championships. I'm tired of Atlanta. I've seen and done everything it has to offer.

Settling for a lower tier bowl is bullshite. We were a couple plays away from being in the NC game an we're expected to go back to Chick fil A giveaway and be happy about it?

I have been to the Chick-Fil-A bowl and the Capital One bowl and I would rather be in Atlanta. The one time I went to the Capital One bowl was the game vs Penn St and it was a very poorly managed field. The only good thing is Orlando and the attractions. You want to go to ATL.

I'll tell you what, LSU should just turn down the invitation to the Chic Fil A and sit at home. Does that make you happy? There are probably a couple of teams who can claim to be a couple of plays away from a BCS game.

There is a system and we know that going in. Unfortunately the system is a welfare program that guarantees slots to shitty big was teams and a underachieving Big 10 team this year.

Just the way it goes.
