Green bean casserole

Made a homemade green bean casserole for thanksgiving.. Used Alton Brown's recipe... It went fast... I would def.. Recommend to anyone who doesn't want to use the canned stuff....

People use way too much cream of mushroom. I hate it soggy and too creamy. Trick is using just enough COM and add some milk. It turns out nice and crispy

damn dude that recipe is way too much

It's f*cking green bean casserole, everyone loves the basic shite. No need to slave over a grill with 100 ingredients. Canned green beans, COM and fried onion will do just fine like the 99% of us do

I did as well. Once you taste the real thing, you,ll never go back to the cans.

Instead of mushroom soup I used flour, butter, added onions, then sour cream. Tons of cheese on top, then smashed garlic butter ritz.

I know the homemade version must be killer, but this year I went for fresh green beans and new potatoes with tasso.
