It doesn't seem like we have breakaway speed. Do we know what their 40 times are?

Even if their straight speed is good, we don't have that back that can make DB's miss. We need a "water bug".

RS10 has great speed and great moves with the ball in his hand and you've seen how his ypc has been the past couple games. 40 times are also such a over rated stat. They should at least make them run the 40 in pads. I agree speed kills, but in our system we need a back with great vision and one that will fall forward. We don't use a system like oregon where speed backs get so many touches.

I hear Wing has some wheels. We should definitely throw him in the backfield, fwiw imo dgaf piihb.

Also, why haven't put Rivers in to block field goals? He is tall enough.

*sigh*

Our two biggest RB's(Hill & Hilliard) had long runs for TD's this season. Hill did it more than once. There may not be elite speed within our RB corp but they are plenty fast for guys that big.

No troll intended.

I love our RB's but I don't see them running away from DB's.

Honest question: since 40 times are used by the best talent evaluators in the business (pro scouts and coaches), I was wondering if anyone knew what our guys run. Hill looks faster than anyone, or maybe Ford is faster. Just wondering.

BTW, speed/acceleration is important in getting from 7 yards deep through the hole. Simulates the start of a 40.

ALthough this info shouldn't be needed to ask a legit question, here's my resume:
attended every home game since 1978
attended every game played in 4 seasons
at least one road trip every year for past 23 years
been to every SEC stadium except USC & Missouri
missed two bowl games since 1978
on field last week in purple blazer

Defended CLM about 95% of the time
Support LSU players 100% of time

BTW, posting on TD 10,000 times doesn't qualify you for anything other than to show that you spend a lot of time in front of the keyboard.

Ford is arguably the fastest. He's great at getting to the side and turning the corner.

Hill is great at finding seams and has good break away speed. Remember when he out ran 3 DBs from USCe from the 50? That's pretty fast to me.

Hilliard is really fast for as big as he is.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at. Do you want little scat backs like what Florida is famous for using? You're entitled to your opinion but really, man?

Any team in the country would love to have our stable of RBs.

You must have missed Jeremy Hill's TD runs against SC and A&M to seal the game
