Effective immediately, not much of a surprise.

Well, that just means the final two episodes of the series will be awkward.
Show's not going to get another season. Just another log in the fire.
At least we'll have the memories of seasons 1-3.

Chevy Chase has issues. Didn't he leave SNL after one season because he felt that he was the biggest star on that show and they weren't using him to his full capacity?

This really pisses me off. Chevy was by all reports a true cancer, but the show was so damn good. Dude was getting paid and nobody else was willing to take a chance with him. Why the hell would you rock the boat in that situation? It's like someone paying you 50k a year (completely extra) to be retired, go fishing, and play with your grandkids. How can you be stupid enough to frick that up?
Community will be like Freaks & Geeks in my mind, a fantastic show that got tanked far too early because of pure stupidity. (All of this is because I assume it won't be brought back for a 5th season because the show's dynamic is going to be tanked this season)

Willard is already playing another character on the show in the episodes already recorded. Although it would be fricking hilarious if they just said "frick it, you're playing both Pierce and the other character in the final two episodes."
