| What the frick?! (Posted on 11/21/12 at 12:12 pm)
I just left the post office and after looking at my receipt, I was appalled. I dropped off a certified letter and asked for another to be sent out standard. We can't say the word "Christmas" without offending someone but postal workers can put Kwanzaa stamps on my letters? Frick that shite. [/rant]

In America you have the right to choose the stamps you use on your letters, if you abdicate your rights to postal workers don't complain about getting Kwanzaa crap. The price of freedom is vigilance. If you aren't going to be vigilant don't whine about it here.

I actually didn't know I had a choice since I wasn't given one. I'm no Bible-thumper by any means but religious PC at the expense of Christians annoys me to the core since I was brought up Catholic.

I agree with this.

The clerk had these if you had asked. He or she probably likes Kwanzaa or they can't get rid of those, probably a personal choice and not government endorsement of the clerks action.

Yeah I'm not hoo-hahing about some gov't conspiracy. I'm just annoyed. I read that Ben Stein quote about Christmas yesterday and all of "Holiday season" in lieu of Christmas annoys me. It wasn't how I was brought up.

The post office is losing money hand over fist and is being threatened with reductions. Moving a poor selling product when product choice doesn't matter or isn't specified seems pretty likely.

I don't understand the Christian problem with Happy Holidays? WTF is the clerk at Lowes or Best Buy suppose to do? look at u, guess ur religion or lack there of, and then give their guesses appropriate response? I bet u would be real pissed if they said Happy Winter Solstice if u were a bible thumper. This is the majority whining because, in the best interest of their business, businesses don't want to alienate non Christian customers. Don't shop at the post office. Bring ur package urself. Use ur feet as ur voice.
