In case people haven't read it. I couldn't find the translation to German (and don't care).

quote:

There's not a guy in that list of men that hasn't had a great career, who hasn't given tremendous effort and energy to his team, that in fact played a lot of football and made plays today and made plays right on through his career, whether he's a scout team player or a guy that plays sparingly or a guy that was highly recruited and played his butt off and gave us leadership and is getting his degree and whose contribution was very significant and will be for the next two games.

I want you to know something. It would be said about my career at Michigan. It was a flop. I underplayed my own expectations. My head coach would have probably told me that you overplayed your physical limitations. My point to you is that there is no such thing as a flop that takes the field for our football team.

Just so you know.

I'm proud of those men. How freakin' easy it would have been to say it's their (Ole Miss) night. How freakin' easy, excuse my language.

Spectacular group of men. You go find them, you put your arms around them, you give them a big kiss on the mouth if you're a girl.

WOW! What a game! Are you kidding me?

Reminds me of how he said watching game film is like reading a good book.

And he hastily makes clear in an aside that he doesn't read books.

That's why his players would die for him. Hell of a player's coach.

Les Miles and LSU are a perfect fit; eccentric and colorful.

CLM is special in more ways than just as a coach. It's a crying shame a lot of alleged fans hate him so much.

I'd let my kid play for him in a heartbeat. I'm all in for this coach and this team.

Having seen OM play in several games I kind of had the opinion that it would be a close game before yesterday. The Arky game does not make me tremble in fear as they have so vastly underachieved this season. Arky and Aubie are on a downtrend that is not even funny. Chizik will get five minutes to clean out his locker, the same with the "interim" at Arky. The West teams will be getting tougher to play and beat over the next few years. I am rather happy to see the imrovement in the play of Vandy this year. Hopefully they can continue improving in the next few years. It will add a curveball to the teams in the East to deal with if they do so consistently. I think everyone saw A&M as a patsies for a good while to come, but thier new coach has gotten production out of his team that is quite amazing.

I am beyond amazed that our fan base call for his head after every loss. A man of his character is hard to find in the coaching profession at any level. I have no say in the matter, but in my opinion CLM has earned the right to finish his career at LSU any way he wishes. He is in my mind the best coach LSU has ever had including Nick Saban.

I do it all the time when I'm emotional. (Not in front if millions of viewers of course) I'm ok with it. He didn't mean it out of disrespect. It was a passionate response and he apologized right after. I say, FRICK YEAH!!!

bbqguy, you are spot on! I too think Miles is a better coach at LSU than Saban was. Mainly, because Miles has been faithful to our program, and truly wants to be here! He loves these kids and they love him. I believe next season will be special.
