What is the GOP angling for on Benghazi? (Posted on 11/14/12 at 7:48 pm)
What are they pressing for so hard on this? What is the big 'gotcha' they are after? What are they hopeing to gain? I've followed it a little but not that closely. Heard Linsey Graham (Reb. senator Georgia) say this shows 'leading from behind' is bad policy and that the American people deserve to know what happened? Is it continued high military spending levels that they are seeking from this? 4 dead in Benghazi is a tradgedy but they seem to be after something that they deem to be big.

There's just something more to the story, like secret Prisons, or funding the Syrian opposition..Just the lengths they have gone to cover this up....smells.

quote: Seems from their statements today, they want to know exactly who and when came up the the video premise for te Benghazi attack. Which was a lie
why is the degree to which videos may or may not have been an issue so important to the GOP? Sure there was a security lapse that resulted in tradgedy and that needs to be investigated but why are the reasons for the attacks in the mideast that day so important for the GOP?

Because the administration put out a totally false narrative regarding the attacks. They sent someone unrelated to the event on 5 talk shows to spout this lie. Worth looking into IMHO
Denying requests for enhanced security is not a "lapse"
