I carry G23 but it prints badly on cotton polo shirts, tshirts. there are times I leave it in the car because of this. But i subscribe also to the thought "if I dont carry, that will be the time I need it". So unless I'm in an illegal area to carry, I try to mostly CC when I can.

My company forbids weapons in the comp car so there is another hurdle to contemplate...then the old "rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6" comes to mind...

Dress or casual?

Casual. Just a standard brown belt to be worn with jeans and polos and such.

ETA: this is the one I currently have my eye on. It's a Desantis.

I'm glad I don't have this hurdle. It's more of a fon't ask, don't tell policy on guns at my office. Al 3 owners have pistols in their desks as well as a few other upper employees.

I just quietly conceal and everybody is none the wiser.

We regularly shoot pistols behind the office after work.

Holsters: A good holster doesn't have to be expensive. The good kydex ones (such as Comp-Tac) cost ~$50. A good leather one could (but doesn't have to) cost up to a few hundred bucks.

Which model Comp Tac do you carry? I don't particularly care for the holster I currently have for my G19 or G27.

I love my holster for my 642. It is a Desantis IWB of some sort.

My current IWB and belt setup for my 19 is certainly not stable.

That's crazy. What kind of place do you work at that they aren't worried that their guns won't be stolen? Is this an isolated office with no cleaning crew? I can't imagine that with so many upper employees and owners.

We are a construction materials distributor. I guess they trust the cleaning crew.

Im going to ask another dumb question. I am really questioning my decision to get a "mouse" gun. I wanted to go that route because Ive seen people shot, and I know .380 is plenty to put someone down. I went and held several yesterday though and all the small guns are very uncomfortable to me so far. I also hate bulky shite in my pockets. If I go bigger I would want a good belt. Im torn.
Heres the dumb question, why is a regular sturdy leather belt not good enough or am I misunderstanding something? Rmember, this will be my first CC gun and I am new to this. Just trying to make the right purchase on something I will like. TIA

From 1st hand accounts from choirboy, the specific holster belts are much stiffer than regular belts. I never knew there was a lot of difference. I do know that mine now is a little flimsy with certain clothes like khakis or shorts. It for fine with jeans. I am looking forward to comparing the difference. I hope Santa pull through.

Another gun Ive been reading about as a good one at a low price point is a bersa CC line in 380 and 9mm. Any pros or cons on that one?

They'll be stiffer, taller and last longer. You will literally wear out a normal belt in 2-3 months if yo carry anything with weight on it daily.

That looks like it would be comfortable. Who makes it?
