I guess I just really don't get it. I don't think it's wrong for y'all to carry at all. You are rite I should therefore just let you do whatever you want and not question you. I just feel like if there's somewhere I feel I need a gun to go I just don't go. Maybe the world is a worse place than I'm used to at the end of my gravel road in Mer Rouge Haha

How many people in the theater that got killed thought they would need to carry a weapon to a Batman movie? You never know what crazy person is out there so why take a chance.

Remember this?

PIERRE PART - A man shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, then took his own life after he and an armed witness exchanged fire, according to the Assumption Parish sheriff.

It happened just after 10:00 a.m. at Landry's Seafood off of Hwy 70 in Pierre Part. Sheriff Mike Waguespack said Paul French, 51, shot and killed Michelle Borer, 42, who worked Landry's.

Witnesses told News 2 French came in after 10:00 a.m. and shot Borer after arguing with her. Another man eating at the restaurant who was armed and had a concealed carry permit tried to intervene, then shot at French after he shot Borer, according to Waguespack.

Question. So if you have a permit and are carrying and some guy pulls a gun out in walmart and starts shootin you can handle that ? Or does he have to be shooting at you?

In Alabama, you could engage him. If you have a reasonable fear that your life, or someone else's life is in danger, you can use deadly force. However, if you find yourself in this situation and choose to act, only remember 4 words: "I want a lawyer."

Good Advice.

Better Advice. Pay the $131 a year and get the pre-paid legal gun lawyer. I keep the card in my wallet. 24/7/365 legal service.
US Law Shield

Edit:
1. Call 911, request police and ambulance – do not say anything other than your name, location, send police and ambulance, and that you have been a victim of a crime. The 911 call is recorded – Say Nothing Else!

2. Call your attorneys! Call the emergency hotline number on the back of your Firearms Program Member ID card.

All your points clear things up for me a bit. One of you may save my life one day. So I appreciate it.

On a side note ... I know it's not legal but how many people you think are packing on LSU campus rite now ?

Isn't there a 6 month time limit from when you take the class?

Is middle of the day in a packed Walmart parking lot a safe area?

LINK

I am of the mind that there are very few safe areas.

Im about to get my CC permit and I want a gun I can clip on my waist line or pocket carry. I saw Blue Velvet post a pic of one of those guns the other day that had a little clip on the gun itself that was small. It looked ideal for what I want, but I need somewhat affordable too. Hate to drop too much on my first one. Any advice would be appreciated.

The gun he has there is a Keltec P32. They also make the P3AT which shoots .380 ACP instead of .32 ACP.

For a new concealed carrier I would suggest a pocket holster that covers the trigger. I think the DeSantis Nemesis is one of the best. My dad pocket carries his Kahr P380 with a Crimson Trace in a Nemesis holster. It's very comfortable.

Here it is with a Ruger LCP. You can see the whole thing fits in your pocket, and when you draw, that little hook grabs your pocket so that only your firearm will come out.

I carry everywhere, every day, unless I'm in a place where it's legally prohibited.

And I don't carry one of the poodle shooters that some have been discussing.

i still don't see how you'd CC if you just had on a polo and slacks or something. seems like it wouldn't be comfortable or very concealed

Not that hard -- I do it all summer long --- with a 9mm Glock that holds 18 rounds.

Agreed. And when you carry often, it simply becomes a part of your attire.

Wallet... Keys... Pocket Knife... Phone... Gun

Appreciate the response bapple. So can I put a little metal clip on any of the guns? I think I would like the option to clip it on my waist line with no holster also. I remember seeing a clip on one of his guns and I really liked that option.

I doubt very many. Most people don't want to chance it at a young age. Maybe a very few of the older students but I have never seen anyone and I look constantly. I have never carried on my person on campus outside of my truck. Take that for what it's worth.
