Too read it? It doesnt mean I care about Catholic. Maybe I wanted to get some insight on New Iberia since I don't know jack shite about them.

Why do I click on threads that say LHSAA playoff scores??? It must be because I love Catholic.

Catholic isn't the only fricking school in Baton Rouge. Get your head out your arse.

The fact that you edited your post to add "maybe I wanted to get some insight on New Iberia" means that that's not the reason you came to this thread.

CHS envy.

And me clicking on this thread = me having interest in Catholic right?

How come I can't just be interested in the game itself? Why does it boil down to me having interest in Catholic?

Yes I love Catholic...y'all caught me with my pants down having gay bear sex!

Seriously though, I hope y'all make it past New Iberia this weekend.

Good luck!

So NISH has the same record as Catholic. They only lost one game in district but I am not sure to whom. The problem is, they played a 1-8 Central Lafourche team last week. So we are really going to find out who they are this week.

What? They beat Scotlandville last week, who I thought was a very good team. Probably 2nd best team in 4-5A.

It comes down to Central's defense like Catholic. We will go as far as the defense can take us.

I totally agree...Catholic cannot hope to keep advancing if its defense doesn't step up. Catholic scored 43 points on Friday, despite only having the ball for 16 + minutes. I've heard that New Iberia runs a spread offense and throws it a lot, so lets see what DC Camp can do against it.

My dad went there and my kid goes there and I must say, things have changed a bit at Catholic. Since Redemptorist is shite now, many Catholic parents are regular middle class people who are sending their sons there because they have only one other legitimate catholic education option outside of CHS. Many of the starters this year and over the past several yrs are from St. Alphonsus, a former Redemptorist hotbed.

I am not sold on Scotlandville yet. The quick offense may have an impact. Can Catholic keep up?

when it's all said and done, there are lot more football players coming from middle class families... and below than from above..

I remember watching a catholic league game years ago.. next to an extremely well known college coach.. who was not overly impressed by the player of the year....... because he was playing against "a bunch of tall skinny rich white kids"....

a few years later I accompanied two coaches that I knew to the home of a hs player whom I grew up with one of his parents...... they lived between causeway and bonnabel and vets and west esplanade.. when the coaches saw the street they were in dis belief.. they said that was the only player they visited that month where they weren't worried about their rental car during the visit...

You do realize Scotlandville is no longer in playoffs?

I do indeed. What I was saying was just because NISH beat Scotland doesn't tell me much. I am not sold on how solid the Ville can be year in and out.
