This is what I can't stand about this board.

Someone is sitting here blaming Mett for the loss.

Where is everybody that defends miles anytime his name is even mentioned?

This is a type of thread that leads me to believe some posters actually care more about criticism of miles than the players that actually out there busting their arse while coaches are cashing paychecks.

If you're gonna defend miles to the bitter end and claim you're an LSU fan, then you should be in this thread calling this guy out as well.

To the OP:

Mett didnt cost us this game. Period.
And Mett outplayed mccarron in this game.

This.

We played prevent defense at the end of each half. That is the only way AJ got it done. Blind man can see that !

That might be the truth.

I disagree with you on this statement freak. I would say very good, but not great.

Until the last drive in prevent a.j. did nothing in the second half. And his receivers did,nt drop half the passes he threw on the money like metts did! What game were you watching?

I don't think so. The obvious strength on LSU's team has been the D-line. AJ had forever to throw the ball and their RBs were getting five yards before they were even touched. It didn't look like their A game.

Then again, AJ had forever to throw the ball and couldn't find anyone open for the majority of the game. The secondary played great. But LSU has the #2 pass D in the nation (better than Bama's). It appears that's just what LSU does to teams trying to pass. You could say Bama's O-line caused the D-line to look like that. Perhaps that's what they do to teams. It works both ways.

Saban's only true advantage has been his ability in the last several years to recruit/retain composed, championship level QB's

Because Saban is known as a great QB coach, I'm sure.

Claiming that McCarron will make a great pro QB goes completely against the grain with regards to any of Saban's college QB's. Just how many are good QB's in the NFL right now? The same goes for Spurrier's QB's. With one or two exceptions, none made it big in the NFL. You may be forgetting that Saban had Rohan Davie, one of the most potentially great QB's in LSU history, yet, Saban really only got one good yr out of him. Saban is a great college coach. He is not a football god who can do no wrong.

AJ is in his second year with Bama's oline. Mett is a first year starter who all year had a revolving door oline. Compare Mett next year to AJ this year and it will be more informative.

McCarron is a GREAT college QB, and will probably be a solid Pro also.

Wait. What? That kid is nowhere close to a great college QB. He has been the beneficiary of great tailbacks and even greater defenses that can wipe away any offensive mistake.

Spurrier has run the same offense since 1990 for the most part...Saban is not an offensive coordinator, has had several different offesnive coordinators, and has run a different offense from one team to the next. This year's bama offense is very different from last year's.

Need some Kleenex? Do you really think Alabama played their A game? Sure LSU helped Alabama looked bad, but Alabama made mistakes too like the two unforced fumbles and all the missed tackles and mental mistakes that the defense made. LSU brought their A game, and still for whatever reason lost to Alabama's B- game.

True. Let the Tigahs keep reliving the "might have beens" and how crappy the team that beat them at home really is. Makes for a good coping mechanism.

The game was simply "lost" and Alabama had nothing to do with it. End of story.

If you want to believe our defense played lights out, then do so. That wasn't our A game. Look at how we shut down the rushing attack of Georgia the week before and Florida the week after

Ever heard of imposing their will on another team? Quit acting like you just had a "bad game" - you were forced into a bad game, had nothing to do with your players.

WTF DUDE. McCarron was a game manger his first season last year.. the entire season up until the bowl game.

Mett in his first starting season just out played him by a zillion in AJ's "great caliber play season"

I'm sure your great coach Sabana Boy brought his B- game to the biggest game of the year. Basically the NC this year. Although I'm still hoping A&M runs all over your overly emotional team.
