I watched in shock and amazement as the Tigers dominated Saturday night. Two things come to mind to explain it. Either Alabama ain't that good or the coaching staff finally took the handcuffs off Mettenberger and let him loose throwing the football downfield. Props to the WR's for being aggressive for the ball. What can you say about the 2 freshmen O-line guys. What a job. This offensive performance was completely different from anything we have seen to this point this season. I don't know if Miles had anything to do with the play calling this week but if he did, he needs to continue. If he didn't...he don't need to start now. All you Tiger fans that can remember Alabama teams back to Shaun Alexander to the present; isn't it strange how that screen pass seems to go for big gainers against LSU. They may do it once or twice in the game but over the years its been a big play for Bama at the most inopportune times for LSU. I think Allemond would have made the 54 yarder had he not slipped. However, I think Wing, in both fg situations would have been the better option. I thought the onside kick was awesome and if the kicker could have somehow avoided the ball...I think LSU would have recovered. The fake on 4th and 12 was definitely a Miles call. No doubt about it!
But if it had all worked out we would be having a different conversation. Hey...I liked what I saw from the offense and the defense and I hope LSU builds on all that going forward from here. They sure need to.

Proof it was LSU - we dominated, and yet our coaches still found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the biggest BIG game of the season. But I agree with you - it was great to see this LSU team bat Bama all around for most of 59 minutes.

It is just the proof that Saban is not what media has made him to be. He is just a regular coach with a lot of talent and has benefited from easy schedule year after year. If Miles, with so many missing starters and playing many true freshmen can dominate him like that I don't know what else is there to prove.

We caught the football.
That was the difference.

And it was huge.

You were getting beat 14-3 almost 21-3 at the half. I wouldn't call that dominating.

Catching the ball and making plays after that. Missed seeing that. Used to be all our receivers knew how to do.

What the hell were you watching? They scored a TD with like 11 seconds left in the half. Did you think they should have gone for the onside kick?
