Humor me for a min and realize how one person has affected so many people.

If Drew gets a clean bill of health, or St Nick decides to roll the dice with him, perhaps Nicks tenure in Miami goes a little better.

Likewise, if the Saints take Culpepper, the stench coming from the dome probably equals the one there after Katrina rolled thru. Everybody remember how Benson wanted to move the team? Does LA Saintos sound good to you?

So my question Tiger Fans: Would you trade a Lombardi trophy in the Superdome along with all of the positives that have come with it for the team, city, and region for POSSIBLY one or two BCS championships for LSU? Remember before you answer Les' record over the last 6 years.

I would never trade the entire Saints organization and the chance to watch the greatest Saint to ever play the game of football for one or more BCS trophies. I love LSU, but I have seen things in the MBSD after Katrina that makes it worth having Nick Saban's short, unscrupulous arse around at Bama.

I would trade 100 Lombardi trophies for 1 Nat Championship, any day of the week. I was an LSU student, I have no real attachment to the Saints..... If I am going to watcH NFL ball, then yes, I root for the saints. However, they can go 0-16 every year from now til the end of time, as long as LSU is winning championships, and I will be a happy man.

That being said, the whole idea behind this thread is absurd.

We can also thank Nick Saban for the Saints winning the Superbowl

BCS championship for LSU > Super Bowl for the Saints

We don't have to choose though.

Do I miss Nick Saban, yes?

Do I think we have a more than capable coach to beat Nick Saban? Yes

Therefore I am not worried...and therefore I wouldn't trade a Lombardi for Nick Saban.

Next question.

I don't really care about the saints, so yes, nicky should have got Brees and he would still be in Miami.

No more so than this board's obsession with comparing Miles to Saban and Bama in general. This season, this board has repeatedly told me that Nick Saban is the reason LSU has won two NC since 2000, and also the reason LSU has not won any others. That was my point, and also why I said keep in mind Miles' record here since 06.

It was only a partially trolling post, though. In hindsight, it is interesting to think how one person's decision could ultimately affect so many people.

Saban was too stupid for that and he didn't have big enough balls for the NFL

I like Miles a lot as our coach. That doesn't change the fact that Saban was directly and indirectly responsible for both our NCs. His move to Bama has made them a powerhouse that has taken away very clearly at least 2 LSU NCs since then. I don't want him gone though. I just want Miles to finally come through and beat the douche. Once again though we are left saying "Maybe next year.".
