Playing soft zone with a minute and change left on the board with bama having 2 T.O.s. You give up the short throws, why?? Why not play your normal defense that shut them down the entire 3rd and 4th qt?! Before the half ended we gave up a TD as well playing back, Saban knew he would do this from good game planning and he was right, so its basically exposed for a blue print for everyone else. Do what you have to and then score on us in 2 minute drills. Please change this chief play that bump coverage and instead of being scared to get beat deep, make teams actually beat you deep!

Not telling him how to coach, but if me a regualr blue collar working class man can recognize this, than you know coaches who have a lot more knowledge than me have to recognize this. Its a glaring hole in the gameplans he brings to the table!

Yes, I presume to tell Chavis how to coach. It is absolutely assinine to play your corners off the field at the end of both halves... especially considering the success of the defense outside of the two-minute drill. Not only should the end of the first half served as a warning, but the A&M game as well.

Not an idiot, calling it like I see it, if any gameplan/ team gets their weakness shown, and more than 1 time, then my friend its being exposed. Dont take it the wrong way, I love chavis and I love miles and our team, I just hope he fixes this!

Learn a little football. Chavis' tendencies cost LSU the game. Fact. Smart coaches aren't always perfect. He wasn't smart or perfect a few times Saturaday night. The prevent has to go.

I wouldn't say exposed. Have you watched other LSU games? He has been doing that shite unsuccessfully for some time. The only difference is that LSU had larger cushion in previous games that didn't end in a loss.

idiot,

yea it had nothing to do with lack of pressure. our stud ends could not get to the QB at all during those plays. Chavis is the man. We called the blitz and got burned by a screen.

This board gets worse by the min

You are not wrong. Your critics along here are blind tools. They are wrong. Chavis' "soft/prevent" has been a problem at LSU before (see A&M and SoCarolina this year). And it was a problem when he was at Tennessee. Where did the old handle "3rd and Chavis" come from? From him doing this; from playing not to lose.

Attention Coaches Miles and Chavis - IT DOESN'T WORK!!!

Also I wouldn't say just take the prevent out the Playbook, when you only have 15 seconds left in a game and a team has 75 yards to go then drop em back, but with a minute plus and 2 timeouts, you can't get soft on them ...

poor call on a fake field goal 4th and12 and fake a 42 yard field goal
Failed executiion on an on side kick.
Long field goal attempt at end of game rather than punt and pin them inside their own 10 and make them go 90 yards rather than 60 yards with NO TIME OUTS.
Copeland penalty.

And your going to give chavis shite.

I'm not crediting any of those things that happened, but with the defense we ha e that I clearly saw shut down that bama offense in the 3rd and 4th, they shouldn't have made it look that easy!
