what do you use for dumplings in chicken and dumplings, if you are not

making them from scratch. i used biscuits last time, but somebody told me tortilla's are good.

Buy some flour tortillas and dust them with flour before dropping them in.

There are frozen dumplings in the freezer case.

But why are you not making them from scratch?

Crisco or lard in self rising Martha white flour until crumbly. mix hot broth until doughy. roll out on floured board and cut into strips. drop into full boiling broth. We add a little pepper into the flour before making the dough.

i tried those once, they didn't have any flavor. think i might just used canned biscuits

Mary B of Mary B's biscuits fame makes a fine frozen dumpling. Should be available in your grocers freezer section.
