Here are my issues. I know what I like, but not how to replicate it. I HATE a margarita that is too harsh and bitter. You guys know what I mean. The type of Rita that makes you immediately think of getting a tums and Prilosec. I want to know how a smooth margarita is achieved.

What type of mix? The mix is the key. Most mass produced mixes I have found are too bitter and citrus acidic? I have cut this with a splash of beer. And used other tricks. But what do you guys do?

Any mix you know is not acidic? Do you not use mixes all together and then what do you use?

I'll hang up and listen.

bacardi lemon-lime frozen in the canister--dump this in the blender
Take empty canister and fill it with sauza tequila
Empty into blender
Take canister and fill it half way with triple sec
Empty into blender
Add ice to almost the top of the blender
Top off with orange juice
blend and enjoy!

A little beer isn't a bad thing to add either. Dilutes some of the sugary sweetness.

Cube and remove the seeds from a watermelon then freeze it. Use your favorite margarita mix and use the frozen watermelon instead of ice.

This is so good and refreshing.

The bacardi is the way to go my friend--trust me! Follow my recipe above and you'll make a great margarita.

This is our go-to mix; it's not overly acidic.

if you are stuck with pre-made margarita mix just add some OJ, it mellows any mix out
