So I tried out Smashburger earlier this week and it's essentially a less juicy version of Company Burger...which isn't a bad thing at all. I had the double All American Burger and the Smashfries. The fries were very garlicky and I didn't like them at all. They have regular fries also.

I'll head back over there in the near future and investigate their menu further.

I think Company is a lot better. A LOT better.

I went there on a whim...how come you didn't invite me to Honeybee's Lingerie Costume Party at the Cotton Mill?

I'm going to vehemently disagree Wizz.

Smashburger tastes like Wendy's to me.

In houston, I've never had a dry smashburger and I love the smash fries... but I could see how some people wouldn't like them. They're pretty heavy on the rosemary.

I think Company is probably a little better on the burger front but I prefer Smash for the fries.

And Smashburger has more options if you want something other than a burger.

I've really been off Company recently. You really don't get a lot for the price and they're still having problems with oversalting the patty. Cowbell is definitely better as is Hi Hat. I've been to a Smashburger in Shreveport once .. need to try the one on Magazine. From what I remember it was a pretty good burger. Better than fast food joints. Plus I think it's priced a lot better than Company.

It is priced better than Company but wasn't even close to as good IMO.

company is expensive, but it's tasty enough to justify.

never had a salty patty there tho.

they accidentally gave me a lamb patty once... I'm not a fan of lamb so I was a little put off by it.

I like the place a lot, even if I find it a tad pricey.

However, I'd say every hamburger I've had there has been noticeably somewhat salty. Not so much that it's offputting, but probably slightly moreso than I'd prefer, if I had a choice.

I don't get the appeal of Cowbell at all.

Really? I've thoroughly enjoyed every burger from Cowbell.

With respect to Company, I've noticed an over-salted pattie on one trip, but that's it. They are the most consistently reliable IMO
