Benny Saia/Dutchtown hates LSU?

Talking last night with a group of fans from Catholic and Dutchtown about the big showdown tonight. Several of the folks from D-town said that some are upset in their community at Saia because he seems to be pushing his players out of state rather than to LSU. I admitted to hating them a little more because of Lacy and Collins. Anybody else heard anything about this?

Benny Saia does what any good high school coach should do with recruits, he lets the kid and their family make the best decison for themselves. It's not the high school coach's position to send a kid to a specific school or not.

I played under him, but it was the first few years of the school, so we didn't have any big time recruits.
Never liked him, but I don't think he would do something like this. He is more of a Les Miles type of guy anyways.

Yes, yes he did. I was on the sideline and smelled it.
It was his first HC gig at CHSPC. totally crapped in his pants and then had to leave the sideline to go change in the middle of the game as we were going on offence. We were calling our own plays in the huddle.

I'm not a huge fan of Saia because of how he treated my older brother who played for him. He may have something against LSU since they didn't offer his son, Kevin who plays at Tech. I personally don't like the guy.

So y'all were like Bud Kilmers team pretty much. Just one coach and he was the HC? So when your HC has to go, it's up to the QB to make it all happen. That's so awesome. No OC, no O-Line or RB coach, or an assistant defensive coordinator that's usually 2nd in command. Uh-maze-ing.

No we had assistant coaches, but Saia's scheme was so fricked up the assistant was calling the wrong formations for the plays.
Plus we were already ahead and were driving pretty good with what we we doing so whatever... this was a one A school in like 93-94 so no we did not have an OC OL coach etc...so whatever...not the point
