Saw this name mentioned a bit in the thread. Whats a typical show like? Decent crowd? I see he comes to BR a decent amount.

I saw him at Stubb's...he played inside and it was a pretty small, intimate crowd.
This was before Eli Young recorded "Even if it Breaks Your Heart"and before he got a sweet writing contract. He'd probably draw a much bigger crowd these days.
He's actually one of my favorites. I was supposed to see him with Wade Bowen last weekend but he had to cancel because he was sick :(
ETA: He put on a GREAT show. Rocked out for about and hour and a half and them, for the encore, led the whole crowd outside, formed a circle, and sang an acoustic version of "The Highway's Home". I had the privilege of hanging out with him for a bit afterwards and he's a sweet, gracious guy with a wonderful sense of humor.

What's up with his song "Ballad of Trayvon Martin"?

I see his name mentioned a little more frequently now. He's pretty good, but I've nevr seen him live.
