They say he's not tall enough. He's got a rocket arm, and is a very big, physical kid. Will be a good one for somebody.

Yea, I don't guess Johnny FB is tall enough either. Forty time please.

Height is overrated for a college QB. You don't need a prototype NFL'er to win in the college game.

Guessing around the 4.8 range.

Honestly after watching him play I don't think he's good enough for SEC play. Not shifty enough, not extremely accurate and really has been benefitting from being big enough to hit through smaller guys. I just don't come away all that impressed after watching him.

same can be said for Brees. 6ft quarterback can't make it at the next level out of high school.

Kid is coachable... He's dedicated to play QB... Isn't that the formula a recruiter should look for?

The offense he runs under is mainly a physical/smash mouth run base style...

There's more than just that in the formula. Either way we've already got two very good QB commits.

I think he would fit quite well in Dan Mullen's system.

No doubt...

Technicalities(Pocket vs Dual Threat)
Arm strength
Vision
etc..

The kid has or could develop all of the above... Too bad LSU can't pick'em all, huh...

I agree. I watched him play earlier this year in the jamboree (when he was hampered with a hamstring injury) and he really throws a pretty ball. He didn't get much help from the worst field conditions I've seen since the Capital One Bowl in 2010, but it was easy to see what makes him such a great prospect.

If you watched him play this season he still isn't even playing at 100% bc of his hammy. How much can a QB really show what he has in a Jay Roth offense. The kid is very talented and has potential to play some big time football in college.

He played with a bad ACL all last year and hurt his hammy this year. He is good, SEC caliber ehhh idk.

Too many people base recruiting knowledge off what happens at camps and 7 on 7 as well as the measurables...

NOT by watching them practice play or lead people...

Hence how LSU got Ryan p....

Yep, I know... Did you read on how well he did at those camps & 7v7 tourneys? The rare times he could actually display his talent at just being a QB... He is just a late bloomer in the recruiting market... I know hs ball is different than the collegate level, but he is definitely one of the chosen ones...

Kid has been playing varsity football at the 5A level since his freshman year and is obviously a winner!

I think he is a better college prospect and will be a better college player than the last offensive back that was very highly heralded from Rummel...for whom all of you that know me.. know I said he was never gonna play much at the d1 level.. and unfortunately I was very right.
