The people are nice and we had a great time but "the 12th man" is nothing to brag about

Anyone else go? I've never been, but it sounded pretty loud on TV. You never know how those places are miked up for TV.

It was very very windy which would tend to move the sound out of the stadium.

Tennessee was pretty quiet. Especially for a 100K plus stadium

The quietest big stadium I've ever been in was Memorial Stadium in Austin when Matt Jones and the Hogs beat the Horns.

You should have heard it last night. Gumps were louder than Tenn. fans even when Tenn. fans were trying to drown them out. And Bama fans arent that loud to begin with.

I got a nice laugh out of that girl's tweet they showed during the game that said she's never heard the stadium louder than it was yesterday.

I wasn't there yesterday but I have been to several A&M games in Kyle field and there are two reasons the stadium is not particularly loud
1. Stadium is too open...not enclosed at all...one end zone is totally open and the corners are open to let the sound out.
2. The organized cheer thing hurts the general loudness of the crowd and does not impact the opposing team...drunk LSU fans just scream their asses off during every big moment, Aggies wait for mental ward attendants to tell them when to yell or hiss or whatever...

I was in section 100

The only time it gets "loud" was during the cheers that you couldn't understand what they were staying.

They didn't cheer and I never heard their band.

We were in the lower section and it was pretty loud especially for an 11 AM game.
