What are you winterizing for? Keeping weeds out?

I've heard that term but never knew what it meant. I put sta-bil in the lawn mower. That's it.

I've never done it before but this year I'm putting down a pre-emerge for weeds like poana.

I also fertilize and then have someone winterize the sprinkler system.

well, first I mow it and then i dress it in layers.. First some type of under armour to retain as much heat as possible and then either a wool or down blanket, depending on what type of winter is expected..

I wouldn't put nitrogen in fall. Use a 1-3-3 ratio fertilizer.
