Vilma suspension the same but will not lose game checks from the time he is on PUP. Scott Fujita reduced from 3 games to 1. Will Smith remains the same. Anthony Hargrove reduced from 8 to 7 games.

It really sucks that the most ruthless and corrupt commish in sports history has to pick on OUR team.

On whether the same penalties will be issued against Vilma, Smith, Fujita, Hargrove, NFL says, "Not all."

I'm actually pretty surprised.

I definitely thought they would go into PR mode and reduce the penalties.

But no. Legal battle is on now.

Hmmmm.

Could just mean that Vilma's penalties will not extend into next season.

Because if he released the discipline while everyone was still mad at him over the officials, the media would have been extra critical of his decision. Now the mood has cooled a bit and the Saints are irrelevant. Probably the only way sympathy for the Saints gains much steam nationally is if the Saints go on a streak and then just miss the playoffs.

That's my guess. All other will stay the same.
