The recruiting pipeline was awesome when he arrived and to his credit kept it going which is easy when you are in a talent rich state like Louisiana and able to pluck players out of Houston not to mention we don't have to compete for our own players in Louisiana like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Miss. I give him credit for 2007 b/c he took chances. Outside of that 2008 was a terrible year, 2006 we should have played for a national title but thanks to les we didn't, 2009 we did not meet expectations, 2010 we lost to freaking arky, 2011- got our arse kicked by Bama which I blame soley on les. 2012 is looking like a repeat of 2008. The core of our issues were a result of Les being hard headed with his dumb and dumber experiement in 2008, and wanting to play big ten football on offense for his entire tenue except maybe 2006-2007.

Where do you get stuff like this?? Why should we have played for a national championship that year. You act like there aren't 120 other schools busting their arse for the same prize.

2 True freshman QB due to potential stud being dismissed.

2010 we lost to freaking arky

Who had Ryan Mallett (a draft pick of the NE Patriots) and a quartet of pretty damn good WRs. I guess we should never lose to anyone.

So what is your opinion of coaches like Lane Kiffin and Jimbo Fisher? Every analyst in the country thought those were 2 of the absolute by far and away best teams in college football. Most had them facing off in Miami.

USC loses to Stanford and essentially lost all hope very early in the season.
Florida State lost to fricking NC State definitely ended their hopes for a championship season.

Do you think those fan bases want those guys fired and think they are fricking idiots because "they should have played for a championship" and now won't?

2006 was perhaps the best team in LSU history. Many people on here agree.

sounds like an excuse to me. Bama doesn't have those excuses.

but all the above coaches are smarter than Les. take your head out of the sand Les in terms of being a loon is about a tier above John L. Smith in the national spotlight.

If FSU went undefeated during the regular season last year, won the conference championship and got blown out by Miami in the national championship in a rematch, absolutely.

We seriously have a bunch of pussies as fans. Because we lose one road game against a top ten team we are gonna go 7-5? It was 1 fricking loss, get over it already.

what will your take be when we lose our 4th game of the year at Arky? Get over it? We cannot simply score points. In this league you need more than a good defense.

Werent a lot of people saying this year's FSU team was going to be one of their best? That doesn't always matter if things don't work out perfectly during the season, which more often then not they don't, hence the reason why we have the most BCS championship game appearances with 3.

Ohhh, so Bama didn't make any excuses after we beat them on 11/5/11? Give me a break dude.

I'm not looking for a National Merit Semifinalist to coach us. I am looking for someone who recruits well (check), sets a good example and runs a clean program (check), and has success (2 SEC Championships, 2 BCS Championship appearances, 1 National Title, 2 BCS Bowl wins, 80% win percent says check)

You are all fricking high on meth if you think this team loses 4-5 games this year. The only chances we have of losing are this weekend and bama.

Bunch of pussies all up in this fanbase.
"But but but have you seen our schedule? Offense sucks....Les Miles can't coach blah blah blah. Take your P&G glasses off, sunshine pumper"

Even if that stuff may be true, we will beat A&M, Moo St., Ole Piss and Arky on talent alone. Also let's not underestimate home field advantage. I think we beat USCe at home on Saturday and battle it out with Bama, aside from 1/9/12, 5 of the last 6 have been decided by less than 10. We will be motivated and TS will be electric.

2010 is a very similar year to this one, we had NOOOOO offense and we won 11 games, in 2011 we had an "ok" Offense and won 13. I'll take this team over the 08 Offense amateur squad we fielded.

Let's not underestimate our defense here. They will create turnovers and opportunities. All we literally have to do on O is give the defense some rest and be somewhat opportunistic (something I think we'll improve). When the D tires out, we lose plain and simple...Auburn and Arky in 2010, 1/9/12, and this past weekend against Florida.

Then again, I wouldn't be stunned with a win over S. Carolina, nor would I be surprised with a loss to A & M. I would be stunned by a win over Bama.

Did you actually watch the game? It's not THAT we lost, it's HOW we lost. Poor coaching, poor play calling, and poor execution. If this had been a down-to-the-wire well-played game nobody would be complaining. It wasn't just one game, either. The Tigers also played like crap against a bad Auburn team and FCS Towson State. The last three games give no cause for complete optimism.
