The adult Florida fans I encountered were cordial and complimentary. The temperature, inside the stadium, before and during the first quarter was near that of fish grease.

Les Miles is perfectly content to exchange field goals for touchdowns. The game plan was very similar to the one he used in Tebow's last game at Tiger Stadium. No vertical passing game, playing field position and relying exclusively on his defense to win the game. It didn't work that time either.

I'm sure all this has been said on here, but wanted to throw my two cents in anyway.

I went a couple years ago and thought that the Florida fans were, for the most part, great. Glad to hear they were also good to us when they win.

I agree, it reminded me a lot of that game in 09.

I went this year and thought the area right around the stadium was nice, everything else shitty. Fans were 50/50 some nice some sucked. 4 got thrown out behind us for throwing up. Hate how they pipe in their bands music and boo'd our players injuries.

The old ones yes; the young ones, no. The first UF fans we encountered, one yelled to us from a house party "Hey a$$holes!" We just ignored him and kept walking.

Several others were mean. Most of my friends think WVU fans are worse than UF; I give UF the nod in the most sub-human breed of fan.

Gainesville is the picture of everything wrong with America. Affliction t-shirts, Obama signs, hairgel, and jersey-shore guido types. We should firebomb it so nothing survives.

We had a great trip and didn't encounter any rude fans. We went out in the downtown area and not the campus area do that may be why.

Tailgating was fun and enjoyed meeting the Florida fans.

Only thing I found odd was the number of male fans (some in their late 20s to early 30s) walking around inside the stadium and in their seat with no shirts on..... Have never seen that before in any stadium, but saw it 40+ times Saturday. These aren't body painted, or built guys ; just random guys waiting in the concession line with no shirts on. Just seemed odd and out of place

All in all a fun trip (except for game outcome of course)

I was particularly impressed with their fans when they booed when Kevin Minter went down and went to the locker room, then booed when Kwon Alexander went down on the subsequent play. Stay classy.

I always thought this was against the SEC rules, but they've done it for as long as I can remember.

It's how they amplify the crowd noise. They leave the band mic on during play so the crowd noise comes out over the PA system. It's one reason why it's so loud despite being a smaller stadium than LSU, Bama, or Tennessee. South Carolina does the same thing.

I assume their fan base thinks they are Oregon. They huddled after every play and didn't use much, if any hurry up style plays. The booing showed little class.

College students are universally rude. From Seattle to Morgatown to Gainesville. I didn't see much in the way of rude students at Vandy. I guess they were studying.

The piped in music and amplified band performance, even at halftime, were less than impressive.

Florida does have one of the worst bands in the SEC.

Actually, quite a few too many.

I always thought this was overblown by those that aren't from there, but it's true. I witnessed it first hand this past Saturday.

We stayed downtown at the Hampton Inn. Nice hotel, nice restaurants and overall, nice people down there.

Same here, but we did encounter a few "older assholes" along the way. Goes with the territory.

Lastly, for a big of game as it was against LSU and for being the # 10 ranked team in the country, why wasn't it a sell out? I saw quite a few empty seats. And, FWIW, it was loud, but no where near as loud as LSU when we're playing a team of similar rank.

Leghorn you have no idea what you are talking about. We don't use any amplified crowd noise. You must have read that on a Clemson website cause that's a bunch of bologna.

Sorry to disappoint you, but yes, y'all do...or at least y'all used to. I went to the LSU/USC game in Columbia in 2003 and it was very obvious that the crowd noise was amplified over the PA system.

My thoughts about the trip:

The people we experienced were super nice. We tailgated at the bar across the street called The Swamp and had a great time. It was just me and my girlfriend and we didn't know anyone else there so we made some new LSU fan friends and a met a couple older Florida fans that we hung out with all the way up until game time. They were super nice; not anything like what we were expecting. I didn't get one single taunt before the game. Not a single gator bait, chomp, or anything. I was shocked. I can assure you that the UF fanbase did not expect to win that game going in. Also, I didn't see one single fan wearing jorts either.

All i want to say about the game is that in the 3rd quarter when UF scored the TD, we were beat. The D ran out of gas, and knew they weren't gonna get any support from our ridiculously predictable offense. Same exact thing that happened in the Super Dome. I was there for both and it was the exact same feeling. The body language, the energy, the swagger, etc was all down the drain. Midway through the 3rd down 1 point and the game was over.

After the game we did get taunted multiple times walking back to the vehicle, which I thought was complete chicken shite. One extremely drunk student told me "frick LSU ni****" and tried to push me as I walked by. I wasn't looking for trouble, and he certainly wasn't worth my time so I didn't even acknowledge it. However, other than the post game BS, the UF fans were great.

All in all, we had an amazing trip. Had a lot of fun, and I would go back in a heart beat.

Also: The last 2 times I have traveled to see the Tigers play, we have not scored a single touchdown.
