I do.

I'd hardly consider to call a team that sets multiple records in goals scored over a season boring.

I would. Its not the goals that bore me, its the way they're scored.

Well then, agree to disagree. I despise crosses, because it's such an inefficient way of creating chances.

I've made it a personal goal of mine to get to a match at Anfield before they decide to get a move on with the Stanley Park stadium. I assume you've been before?

Yes. If you go, make sure you schedule a tour. The boot room is a must see. The whole place is virtually unchanged since the turn of the century (well two turns of a century technically). You wont see fancy carpets, mahogany lockers, and beautiful name plates. Just wooden benches that have been there for decades, hooks for shirts, and concrete floors. The history is palpable. Its like stepping back in time.

Dandy hasn't even entered the fray yet...

**I enjoy watching Barcelona over any other team, other than LFC (for different reasons)... I prefer it to the counter attacking style of Real Madrid, but at that level, its pretty damn enjoyable, too (I just hate them).

I do too, I just wish they would make their own chances instead of waiting for the defense to make a mistake and gift them with a shot on goal. It seems like ages go by before they hit a perfect through ball and Messi buries it.

I just like to cause problems.

I would agree with this, just replace LFC with Arsenal. I can't stand United, but when Nani, Rooney, Valencia are clicking on the counter, it's fairly enjoyable football.

My good German friend, at his most German moment, once told me that all goals are caused by defensive mistakes. If you're one for nihilistic views on sports, he's very correct. In that way, Barcelona are just patient in looking for defensive mistakes.

Was about to post this. BPG better pick a new team if he doesn't like that style of play!

I've played fullback and sweeper all my life and I can tell you from first hand experience, this couldn't be more right.

That doesn't necessarily mean I want to sit there and watch it for 20 minutes.

Totally different situation when its your team doing it. Acceptable at that point.

Yes I'm being hypocritical.

So the captain and vice-captain of a team don't comprise it's core?

Well Valdes is by far the worst player on the squad so you basically had one key player that played in the final that is still on the team. Two were key players in the squad when you add in the injured Xavi.

Maybe Chelsea shouldn't have put 11 behind the ball in the first leg, and attempted to bag a crucial away goal

We created the best chance of the game.

Maybe you should complain about Drogba and Ballack not keeping their cool.

So they "lost" because of what happened after the match? Good logic.

I've never heard a fanbase whine about something as much

When blatant corruption robs you of a place in the CL final it's not something that is going to be taken lightly. However, revenge is sweet, Chelsea are now the champions, and they earned it.

Chelsea totally lost all mental fortitude.

Chelsea played Barcelona off the pitch that day which is why it was all the more disturbing.

quote:

I don't whine about 2011 Arsenal vs. Barcelona, because Arsenal had other opportunities to kill off that tie in both legs.

That's what you get for signing Bendtner.
