And I would reiterate his sentiment. Like he said, you are jabbing at an atmosphere that you have never experienced. That really does make little sense, especially considering how verbally upset you sound.

If he has been to Anfield, and says it has a certain "mystique" about it, where do you come off telling him that that isn't so?

I've never been to Anfield, but I plan on going this summer. Just hearing You'll Never Walk Alone sung through the television gives me chills. Mock that all you want, but numerous players, who have played for and been opponents of Liverpool, have said how special it is to play in front of that crowd.

Barca- as stated seems they flop more than the San antiono spurs in the playoffs~

Inter Milan- years and years of some family trying to drive it in my head that they are gods gift to the soccer world....

They actually showed Melwood and Anfield so I saw both. It's different.....historical, and I'm sure I would enjoy seeing a match there. I wasn't really taking a jab at Pool, just making a statement that most facilities that are "historic" are typically run down and shitty. More than likely outside the area of the field; similar to Yankee Stadium, Wrigley, Fenway etc....Also to the person that said people leave Arsenal and they have great facilities, I understand, I was talking more about wages + facilities. I wasn't saying that people come or go only based on facilities.

I know. My point was that while Anfield might be run down and shitty (which BPG has already confirmed), Melwood certainly does not seem to be. And that is where all of the training takes place.

If a player wants nice facilities, then Liverpool seems to be able to offer that. If said player wants to play in a nice stadium, then that is entirely different (IMO). (your statement I was initially referring to, I think our definition of 'facilities' may just be different).

I doubt players care about the conditions of the stadium... if the pitch is first class and the atmosphere is good, I think that would be all that matters...

No. That was what I got out of acgeaux's point and was being sarcastic. I really have no idea what his point is.

No I'm not. You are way better/smarter than this.

frick it, I'll just leave it at this as I am tired of the back and forth. It takes a lot more for me to get "verbally upset" than some Liverpool homer taking a break from jacking off to videos of Kenny Dalglish giving rusty trombones to Steven Gerrard to berate me on a message board over an opinion he didn't fully understand.

I never said it's not a good atmosphere or that my buddy can't be a fan. It was a minor point. I think people who cling to that kind of stuff in sports are super gay or are dumb (not saying you are Beast). For instance, I love the Masters but the media's coverage of it gets old really fast to me if you see what I'm getting at. Just a personal preference. That's all. I didn't think it would be that controversial. It seems like I'm mad because I had to defend the position but I'm really not. Oh, and the "you haven't been there herp derp" argument is turrible.

That "kind of stuff" is what makes sports special.

What are you, like 12? Speaking like a jr. high school student wont make anyone on this board think you're cool.

I have no idea why you're so distraught over this. I was just saying I thought it was silly to judge a place you've never even been to. Just take a deep breath. No one is berating you.

We get it man. You sang YNWA while holding your little Liverpool scarf over your head while fantasizing about spending a late night with Brennan Rodgers during the transfer window.
